Public Notice: Base commissary to resume normal operations Tuesday
The DeCA Commissary aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point will resume normal operations and be open for patrons beginning Tuesday, October 8. For the commissary hours of operation, please visit their website at www.commissaries.com.
Soundtrack of Freedom Concert
The Soundtrack of Freedom Concert scheduled for Saturday Oct. 5 is postponed until further notice.

Environmental Affairs Dept will provide Game Warden patrol & enforcement.  Limited response capability to BT 9 or 11 due to vacancy & furloughed staff. Hunting program normal operations (Wed - no hunting due to vacancy).
Environmental Affairs Dept will provide forest fire response capability as normal accessing Croatan or NC Forest Service assets via MOU's as necessary.
Environmental Affairs Dept will provide normal coordination & oversight for all contamination remediation sites & activities.
Environmental Affairs Dept will provide normal recycling program operations.
Environmental Affairs Dept will provide basic support, inspection, processing documentation, & oversight for haz waste management for all unit waste generators.
Environmental Affairs Dept will provide spill response capability as normal for haz waste, oil, fuel, sewage, etc. on land.  Some specialized expertise may be unavailable due to furlough. Call 911 for HAZMAT/HAZWAS emergencies and spills. Open water spill team capability will be limited due to some members being furloughed.
Station Motor Transport will continue limited critical maintenance on emergency vehicles and vehicles supporting key MAW and station operations such as fueling and crash, fire, rescue. All other maintenance will be deferred due to the reduced funding available.
Smog and vehicle state safety inspections will continue normally.  All other routine maintenance is deferred.
Station Motor Transport services including routine supply and personnel runs will cease due to lack of funding for fuel. Services will be restored as soon as fuel funding is restored.
Facilities Maintenance will continue providing emergency and urgent maintenance.  All routine maintenance will receive a delayed response due to minimal staffing.  Expect busy lines but keep calling for emergencies at 466-4363/4364/4365.
Utility services will remain unaffected.
All currently active construction, repair, and service contracts will continue as normal.  Services such as grounds and custodial will be performed at the current minimally sustainable service level.
Any new construction, repair, or service project development will be limited to critical facilities projects only.
