Sgt. Maj. Paul McElearney cheers on the teams during the final match of the 2017 Combined Federal Campaign Tug-of-War Tournament at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., Oct. 13, 2017. The mission of the CFC is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for others. Marines assigned to 2nd Low Altitude Defense Battalion won the tournament for the second year in a row; only the second team to accomplish this feat. 2nd LAAD Bn. is assigned to Marine Air Control Group 28, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing.
