Captain Philip Blais enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2002, and attended recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego.
After he completed Marine Combat Training, Captain Blais was assigned to Basic Security Guard School, and later served as an 8152 Marine Corps Security Force Guard at NSA Bahrain.
In 2004 Captain Blais was assigned to India Company, 3rd Battalion 5th Marine Regiment as a basic rifleman. During this time, Captain Blais participated in Operation Phantom Fury during OIF II. He was then sent TAD to 5th Marine Regiment to aid the Marine Corps Band with EOD security operations during OIF 5-7.
In 2006 Captain Blais was assigned to Combat Instructor Company at The Basic School in Quantico VA, where he served in the “Dug Out” Platoon instructing and mentoring newly commissioned Lieutenants.
He was selected for the Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program (MECEP) in 2009. While participating in MECEP, Captain Blais received his commission in December 2012 and assisted the Denver OSO office in recruiting efforts prior to attending The Basic School in Quantico, VA.
Upon completion of The Basic School, Captain Blais was assigned the MOS 0402 Logistics Officer. Following the completion of Logistics Officer Course at Camp Johnson, NC, Captain Blais was assigned to Combat Logistics Regiment 25, Camp Lejeune, NC.
Upon his arrival to Combat Logistics Regiment 25 in July 2014, Captain Blais served as the Plans and Training Officer for the Regiment. Capt Blais was later assigned as the Current and Future Operations Officer.
Captain Blais was frocked in June of 2016 to his current rank and in August 2016 served as the Battalion Executive Officer for Combat Logistics Battalion 253 during exercise Arrowhead Thunder in Fort Stewart, GA.
Captain Blais received orders to Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point where he is currently serving as the Combat Logistics Company 21 Commanding Officer.
His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, with gold star in lieu of second award, and the Combat Action Ribbon.
