The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society hosted its annual banquet to recognize volunteers for their hours spent taking care of Marines and Sailors aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., Feb. 9, 2017. The mission of the society is to provide financial, educational and other need-based assistance to active-duty or retired Marines and Sailors, their eligible family members, and survivors. The Exceptional Family Member Program hosted Making Waves, a pool event for families that have children with special medical or educational needs aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., Feb. 3, 2017. Making Waves gave families the opportunity to let loose and have a fun day at the pool. Activities included a ring toss, rafting, floating lessons and a family free swim.
