Marines assigned to Marine Wing Headquarters Squadron 2 participated in their annual Combat Fitness Test at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., Sept. 20, 2017. A CFT monitor’s responsibility is to set up the course accurate to regulations and ensure the integrity of the performances throughout the evaluation. The purpose of the CFT is to evaluate a Marines’ strength, stamina, agility and coordination during three simulated combat events. MWHS-2 is assigned to 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing. MCCS Cherry Point hosts Battle Challenge

Marine Corps Community Services Cherry Point hosted the Battle Challenge on Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., March 23-24, 2017. Teams assigned to various units on MCAS Cherry Point signed up to compete against each other in the timed event. The challenge included an obstacle course where competitors had to climb a cargo net, jump over a seven-foot wall, negotiate monkey-bars, carry 45 pound jugs, and drag a 200 pound dummy to the finish line. MAG-26 Kids Corps

Marine Aircraft Group 26 held their first Kids Corps event to give the kids of MAG-26 an opportunity to see what their parents do, in the Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 162 hangar aboard Marine Corps Air Station New River, N.C., June 4, 2016. Kids were split-up into squads and were afforded the opportunity to compete against each other in a modified Combat Fitness Test, the bouncy house obstacle course and witness an MV-22 Osprey fly.
