Marines assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, and Marine Wing Headquarters Squadron 2, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, went head-to-head in an annual field meet to build camaraderie between the units at MCAS Cherry Point, N.C., Aug. 12, 2016. The Marines competed in nine events including relay races, a seven-ton truck pull, soccer and volleyball matches. Senior leadership and junior Marines alike cheered and motivated each other to bring out the best in themselves. The winner, H&HS, received a trophy and bragging rights until next year’s event.

The Sports Car Club of America has teamed up with the Single Marine Program to rally up car lovers for the Autocross at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, Mar. 5-6, 2016. The SCCA and SMP bring together automobile enthusiasts to drive vehicles to the limit in a safe environment which teaches them control and safety measures.
