U.S. Marines learn how to safely operate and maneuver a motorcycle during the Basic Rider Course (BRC) at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, July 29 through July 30, 2019. BRC is a requirement for all Marines looking to operate a motorcycle on or off base, emphasizing the importance of rider safety and teaching the basics of how to be safe on the road. The course is also open to spouses or Marines who may not own or operate motorcycles, but are interested in learning more about motorcycle safety.

Service members participated in the Circuit Rider Course (CRC) at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, July 24-25 2019. The CRC is the most advanced motorcycle course offered to Marines, Sailors and their families stationed at Cherry Point. The course teaches cutting-edge riding techniques to train the participants on how to deal with real world situations while on the road. All of the techniques are taught at real world speeds, giving the students a chance to familiarize themselves with the techniques while in a controlled, safe environment. This training is intended to reduce motorcycle mishaps for service members.

Service members participated in the Yamaha Champions Riding School motorcycle training class at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, North Carolina, June 13-14, 2019. The school teaches competition proven techniques of motorcycle control to riders whose goals are to be safer at higher speeds. The MCAS Cherry Point Motorcycle Mentorship Program facilitated the training for service members to increase motorcycle safety. American Super Camp is a riding skills and balance improvement course intended for all levels of motorcycle riders. The MCAS Cherry Point Motorcycle Mentorship Program facilitated the training for service members to increase motorcycle safety and develop their skills as motorcyclists. The Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron Motorcycle Mentorship Program Club (MMPC) traveled to Fayetteville, North Carolina, March 29, 2019. The nearly 300 mile ride was intended to promote overall knowledge and safety for the service members in the club. Types of rides like this allow all levels of riders, new or experienced, to ride together and learn from each other about how to safely operate a motorcycle in various environments and real world scenarios.
