The High Voltage section at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point manages the installations entire electrical grid. Whether it's restoring power lines after a storm or conducting preventative maintenance, they are always on the job. Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point's Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit is looking for highly qualified Marines to join the 2336 Military Occupational Specialty Field. Staff Sgt. Joseph Hect, an EOD technician with Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, explains the mission of EOD and some of the different opportunities available to Marines who are ready to take on this challenge. U.S. Marines and civilians across Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point came together to participate in various volunteer opportunities on and around the installation during the Single Marine Programs eighth annual “Days of Service” events, Cherry Point, North Carolina, April 18-22, 2022. U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. James L. Robertson, MCAS Cherry Point sergeant major, and Jocelyn Jakubowski, installation volunteer coordinator with Marine Corps Community Services, MCAS Cherry Point, thank volunteers for their hard work and encourage anyone who is interested in volunteering to reach out to learn more about the opportunities available.
