Marines assigned to Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point and 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing celebrate 75 years of historic moments, missions and people during the MCAS Cherry Point and 2nd MAW 75th Anniversary Ceremony aboard MCAS Cherry Point, N.C., Aug. 21, 2016. Marines previously assigned to the air station and 2nd MAW were escorted by active-duty Marines to present battle colors for their respective units.

To date, VMAQT-1 has trained Prowler pilots, electronic countermeasure officers and maintainers, readying the men and women it trains to join the remaining squadrons as they continue to conduct missions in support of joint and strategic objectives. After VMAQT-1 deactivates, one of the remaining three Prowler squadrons will decommission each year until completion at the end of fiscal year 2019.
