Members of the Civilian Military Community Council, Joint Land Use Study and leaders from Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., prepare to board a CH-53E Super Stallion before an aerial tour of the air station's outlying training facilities, April 8, 2015. Air station leaders meet periodically with members of the CMCC and JLUS to strengthen ties between Cherry Point and surrounding communities. Pilots from Cherry Point and across 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing frequently train at the air station's outlying training facilities to prepare for expeditionary operations, sea-based force projection and aviation support of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force.
