MARINE CORPS AIR STATION CHERRY POINT, N.C. (Feb. 4, 2012) -- Twenty-one Marines with Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 14 returned to Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point Feb. 4, after a seven-month deployment to Camp Bastion, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
While deployed, the Marines provided ground support on Camp Bastion's flight line for various combat elements, said Lt Col. Ryan G. Goulette, MALS-14 commanding officer. The Marines also replenished liquid oxygen and nitrogen used aboard various aircraft, while also building their ordinances.
“I’m glad that we get to be a family again,” said Nicole Lizotte, wife of Cpl. Richard Lizotte, an aviation supply specialist with MALS-14.
