What’s your job?

We supply water to Marines in country and also here in the states on any kind of field operation or humanitarian mission. We can purify salt water, brackish water, and water contaminated by nuclear, biological or chemical materials.

What’s your favorite aspect of your job?

My favorite aspect of the job is being able to see the change from reject water into clean drinking water and being able to taste it and see it and know I was able to make that change.

What’s the most challenging part?

The most challenging part of my job is probably doing corrective maintenance on the gear out there. There’s so much mechanics that go into it from pneumatic valves to pressure sensors and temperature sensors.

How does your job support the mission of 2nd MAW and MCAS Cherry Point?

We can support 2nd MAW in variety of ways. One, with providing clean drinking water. We can also support the air wing by providing water for the internal systems of some aircraft.
