Havelock Young Marines received a $250 donation from the Ka-Bar chapter of the Leathernecks Motorcycle Club Inc., at the Fleet Reserve Association’s facility, Branch 141, Feb. 20. The club donates funds to several Young Marine programs in the region.

The Young Marines program is a national youth education and service program for boys and girls ages 8-18. The program is run by an all-volunteer staff including Marines, Sailors and civilians. According to Staff Sgt. Preston M. Lamb, a volunteer with Havelock chapter, the Young Marines help to build confidence, teamwork and leadership in children.
