Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C. -- U.S. Marines participated in a circuit rider course (CRC) hosted by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, North Carolina, March 11, 2020. The CRC is the most advanced motorcycle course offered to Marines, Sailors and their families stationed at MCAS Cherry Point. The course teaches proper riding techniques to train the participants on how to deal with various situations they may encounter on the road. All of the techniques are taught on motorcycles and actively riding, giving the students a chance to familiarize themselves with the techniques while in a controlled, safe environment. This training is intended to reduce motorcycle mishaps for service members. CRC offers a large riding area allowing speeds more aligned with actual street speeds, handling techniques, advanced braking techniques and cornering maneuvers. The MSF is a national, not-for-profit organization promoting the safety of motorcyclists with programs in rider training, operator licensing and public information. The course provided novice and veteran riders the opportunity to hone their skills riding at high speeds in a controlled environment.
