First Lieutenant Suess graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science and commissioned into the Marine Corps in May of 2021. He reported to The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia in August of 2021 where he was designated an 0402 Logistics Officer and graduated with Fox Company 6-21 in March of 2022.

After completing the Logistics Officer Course in June of 2022, First Lieutenant Suess was assigned to Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point where he reported to Combat Logistics Company 21 as the Company Executive Officer.
