More than three years ago, on recruiting duty in Massachusetts, Pribyl recruited Wetzel into the Marine Corps. Pribyl, a native of Centerport, N.Y., now serves as the squadron's supply administration and operations chief. Wetzel, a maintenance management specialist with the squadron, is from Woodstock, Conn. Petty Officer 3rd Class Jeffery Whitson, a native of Vidalia, Ga., stands at the front of a formation of Sailors at Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan, Dec. 20. Whitson, a corpsman assigned to 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward), received his Fleet Marine Force qualification pin during the ceremony. To receive the qualification, Whitson had to know intricate details about Marine Corps history and warfare. Connect with the Marines throughout the deployment. Gregory Sanders, an AH-1 Cobra pilot for Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 467 and the administration officer with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 265, kisses his wife Megan and hugs his daughters Melissa, 2 and a half years-old and Clara, 6 months-old, during the HMLA-467 homecoming ceremony at the HMLA-467 hangar Dec. 11. After an approximately six-month deployment with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit based out of Marine Corps Base, Camp Smedley D. Butler, in Okinawa, Japan, the Marines and Sailors returned to their families and friends. - Capt.
