From hosting the Super Guppy to a visit from the 38th Commandant of the Marine Corps, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, North Carolina, had an eventful year. It saw the turnover of its command leaders. Its community members worked hard and played hard in a multitude of training exercises and family events. It highlighted its hardworking Marines, Sailors and civilians and showed off some of what takes place behind the scenes of accomplishing the mission. Take a look back at some notable events of the year and tell us which one was your favorite.

Service members and their families gathered for the Easter Eggstravaganza event at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., March 24, 2018. The event featured Easter egg hunts, inflatable bounce houses, an obstacle course, food trucks, the Easter Bunny and more. The Eggstravaganza allowed service members and their families to enjoy a free day of fun on the air station. Approximately 2,000 to 3,000 people attended this year’s Easter Eggstravaganza.

Marine Aircraft Group 26 held their first Kids Corps event to give the kids of MAG-26 an opportunity to see what their parents do, in the Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 162 hangar aboard Marine Corps Air Station New River, N.C., June 4, 2016. Kids were split-up into squads and were afforded the opportunity to compete against each other in a modified Combat Fitness Test, the bouncy house obstacle course and witness an MV-22 Osprey fly. The Sports Car Club of America has teamed up with the Single Marine Program to rally up car lovers for the Autocross at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, Aug. 22-23, 2015. The SCCA and SMP join up four times a year to bring together automobile enthusiasts to drive their vehicles to the limit in a safe environment.

The Marines of Corporal Leadership Course class 70-14, along with their instructors run the obstacle course for physical training. Also available in high definition.
