Oct 12, 2012
Two young girls take the controls of an AH-1W Cobra during a visit to Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point Sept. 26. Twenty-eight students from St. Paul Catholic School in nearby New Bern, N.C., took a field trip to the air station to visit the Hercules squadron and Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 467. Maj. Scott Weinpel, left, an AH-1W Cobra pilot with HMLA-467, showed the students around the squadron’s attack helicopters and said, “Anytime we can give back to the community, that’s what this is about.”
