The Marine Corps Community Services held a grand opening for the new “AutoGeeks” center on Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, Aug. 8, 2020. Multiple events are scheduled for the center’s grand opening Aug. 6- 8. Thursday, Aug. 6 is Gearhead day, which includes a ribbon-cutting ceremony and automotive maintenance demonstrations. Friday, Aug. 7 is Car Care day, which includes multiple car care demonstrations from companies such as Meguiars, Rain X, and Mother’s. A car show will take place beginning at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 8. It will include prize giveaways, and trophies will be awarded for different classes of vehicles. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
