Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point Commanding Officer Col. Mikel Huber steps down out of the cabin of a UC-35D jet during the preflight check phase of a sortie at MCAS Cherry Point, Sept. 19, 2019. The UC-35D is Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron’s only aircraft. This flight was to help Huber build proficiency in flying the UC-35D after flying the AV-8B Harrier for the majority of his career. Huber was designated a naval aviator in March 1996.
