Pfc. Lloyd H. Throop, an embarkation clerk with Marine Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron 4, stands in front of a plaque commemorating his squadron’s previous operational deployment to Iraq. Throop donated his bone marrow to save the life of a 60-year-old woman suffering from myelodysplastic syndrome.
