Sgt. Destany Weatherwax poses behind her first place trophy and winning meal after the Chef of the Quarter competition aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, Dec. 8, 2016. The competition is designed to test participating food service specialists’ cooking abilities and skill sets in several areas, such as preparation and display. Marines and Sailors of Cherry Point volunteer weekly in various locations such as the animal shelter, retirement homes and home builds.
