JOB Title: Ordnance System Technician

Unit: Station Ordnance

Hometown: Lyndonville, Vt.

Date Joined: October 2007

What’s your job?

My job is to check inventory of all explosive ordnance on base and prepare it for shipping both regionally and globally.

What’s your favorite part?

My favorite thing about my job is the camaraderie of the ordnance Marines around the Corps. No matter what you need in this job, we are like family and anyone will help you get it.

What’s the most challenging part?

The hardest part has to be remembering all the ordnance rules and regulations on all the munitions.

How does your job support the mission of 2nd MAW and MCAS Cherry Point?

Without us shipping the ordnances, no unit would have ammunition or bombs for deployment or training.

How does your job in garrison differ from your job in the field?

THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THE TEMPO OF THE JOB. IN THE FIELD IT IS A LOT FASTER PACE THAN IN GARRISON.
