Home to Roost: Marine Corps' final aircraft return from supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom

The final elements of the last 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing unit that was deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom returned home to Cherry Point, Feb. 5.

The four EA-6B Prowlers from Marine Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron 3 and their crews returned after a 7-month deployment.

During their deployment, VMAQ-3 provided airborne electronic warfare support to coalition forces. The squadron is the last remaining unit from 2nd MAW to return from Iraq.
