Marines with Marine Wing Support Squadron 271 observe MV-22B Ospreys land during a base repair after attack training (BRAAT) event at Marine Corps Outlying Field Oak Grove, North Carolina, Nov. 4, 2020. Marine Wing Support Squadron 271 (MWSS-271) partnered with Seabees with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 1 to conduct a BRAAT in order to maintain readiness by demonstrating the ability to rapidly restore an airfield to operational capability following a simulated attack. The Marines and Seabees conducted an aerial insert into the training area via MV-22B Ospreys with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 263 (VMM-263). MWSS-271 and VMM-263 are subordinate units of 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, which is the aviation combat element of II Marine Expeditionary Force. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Elias Pimentel)
