Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point Commanding Officer Col. Mikel Huber closes an aircraft panel under the wing in performing a preflight check on a UC-35D jet on the flight line at the air station Sept. 19, 2019. Huber, a native of Idaho, is building proficiency in flying the UC-35D jet after flying the AV-8B Harrier for the majority of his career. Huber was designated a naval aviator in March 1996.
