Greer was recogized for the 2016 Military Chaplains Association Distinguished Service Award, and will recieve the award in Oct. 2016. The award recognizes one representative from each branch of service for their performance and dedication to the troops while serving as a chaplain. Greer is the chaplain for Marine Aircraft Control Group 28, and is the second 2nd MAW chaplain to win the award for the Marine Corps in the past two years.
