The family of Petty Officer 1st Class Anacleto De La Garza and members of the Havelock Military Affairs committee pose for a photo during the Military Family of the Quarter ceremony in Havelock, Jan. 26. The Havelock Military Affairs Committee awarded Chief Petty Officer 1st Class Anacleto De La Garza and his family for volunteering more than 200 hours in the local community. The De La Garza family has volunteered and assisted with a variety of organizations and events to include: Cherry Point’s Breast Cancer 5K Color Run, the Veteran Services Association 2015 Veteran’s Day Parade, the Annunciation Catholic Church Daily Bread and the 25th Scroogefest Arts and Crafts Festival.
