Every April we celebrate our telecommunications personnel in the public safety community. This year we hear from our Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point Emergency Services personnel as they share appreciation for MCAS Cherry Point’s Emergency Dispatch Services. Without the dedicated work of our dispatchers, our community would not receive the high quality of response from our Fire Department and Provost Marshal Office. To the men and women behind the scenes, thank you!
U.S. Marines with Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point Special Reaction Team (SRT) and civilian Firefighters with Cherry Point Fire and Emergency Services (CPF&ES) team up to conduct joint forced entry training at Fire Station 1, MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina, April 8, 2021. Joint forced entry training allows SRT to familiarize themselves using different tools to breach a home. This is useful when responding to calls where a possible threat may be looming on the other side. CPF&ES use the training for entering homes during a search and rescue when doors are locked.
The responsibilities of equal opportunity representatives and advisors as Marine leaders includes being a resource to help you change the climate within our culture, preventing toxic leadership and a hostile working environment utilizing Prohibited Activities and Conduct (PAC).
