2021 MCAS Cherry Point Air Show Media Accreditation

Thank you for your interest in the 2021 Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point Air Show and 80th Anniversary Celebration. All submissions meeting the requirements will be vetted by MCAS Cherry Point Communication Strategy and Operations, Security and other Law Enforcement entities to facilitate access, and as such will require additional documentation be submitted. Given the abbreviated timeline until the event, our office will conduct the accreditation process in grouping windows to accommodate national and international media affiliates and representatives.

MCAS Cherry Point COMMSTRAT will establish ground rules to facilitate media engagement that is in keeping with air station authority and governing service branch guidance for the Sept. 25 and Sept. 26 air shows. Such rules will be conveyed to all media representatives ahead of the event and once daily.

Acceptance of any reporter/journalist substitutions after one has been approved will be made on a case-by-case basis. Due to time constraints in the vetting process, it is unlikely that any international media outlets will be approved a substitution after Aug. 31.

  • If you are an international media outlet planning on attending as an accredited outlet, we will be accepting accreditation packages from July 15 to Aug. 31.

  • If you are a media outlet from the East North Carolina Region, we will accept accreditation packages from Aug. 1 to Sept. 15.

  • If you are a media outlet from the U.S., but outside of the Eastern N.C. area, we will be accepting accreditation packages from Aug. 1 to Sept 7.
