 MCAS Cherry Point Wood Collection

MCAS Cherry Point Fire Wood Cutting Permits
Firewood permits for MCAS Cherry Point are available from the Environmental Affairs Dept., Natural Resources Division. These permits are FREE and are good for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of receipt. The firewood permit allows you to cut one (1) cord of wood per permit. You may only cut trees that are already down and dead, NO LIVE TREES may be cut with this permit.

Personal protective equipment must be used while cutting and collecting firewood.  Hearing protection, eye protection, gloves, and chaps are required while using a chain saw.

Areas being logged are not included in this permit. These areas will be released for collection after all logging contracts have been satisfied.

MCAS Cherry Point Scrap Wood Collection
In order to utilize the scrap wood dump aboard MCAS Cherry Point you must obtain a scrap wood permit from the Environmental Affairs Department. This permit must be filled out and given to the wood dump personnel located at the entrance on Access Road.

Range open Wednesday, Thursday 1800-2100 / Saturday 0900-1300 / Sunday 1000-1400.
Free membership for Active Duty and family.
Retired Military and civilian $30 fee annually.
$2.50 per round for members. $4.00 per round for non-members.
Membership forms available at the range during operating hours.
