2nd MAW commanding general visits Marine Corps Auxiliary Landing Field Bogue, conducts pre-deployment brief with VMA-231 Marines

Glavy visited the airfield to thank Marines for their hard work, to better understand the challenges they overcome on a daily basis and set eyes on supporting facilities to ensure they are maintained to high standards. “Bogue represents the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing’s ability to conduct expeditionary operations,” said Glavy. “They provide aviation ground support, air traffic control, and operations support to the aircraft that rely on them. It is a unique place where 2nd MAW can get critical expeditionary training that we cannot receive anywhere else.” Glavy is the commanding general for 2nd MAW, and Schultze is the commanding officer for Marine Wing Support Squadron 271.
