Maj. Gen. Jon M. Davis, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing commanding general, recently visited Marines and sailors in southwestern Afghanistan, where 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward) has been conducting aviation combat operations for nearly a year.

Davis was accompanied by the sergeant major for 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, Sgt. Maj. Susan M. Bellis.

2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward), led by Maj. Gen. Glenn M. Walters and Sgt. Maj. Henry A. Prutch, supports a vast array of counterinsurgency operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.
