Cherry Point personnel pay tribute to the Corps, history in birthday pageant

Four Marines stand ready to escort a birthday cake during the Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point 236th Marine Corps Birthday Cake-cutting Ceremony and Historical Uniform Pageant in front of the Christian F. Schilt building Nov. 8. As part of the Marine Corps tradition, the cake was cut and the first piece went to the oldest Marine present and the next one was given to the youngest Marine.
Marines and Sailors participating in the ceremony were dressed in different uniforms the Marine Corps and Navy have worn throughout history ranging from Continental Marines to present day Marines during the 236th Marine Corps Birthday Cake-cutting Ceremony and Historical Uniform Pageant in front of the Christian F. Schilt building Nov. 8.
