Several kC-130J Super Hercules aerial refueler aircraft with Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 252 sit staged on the flight line at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., Jan. 5, 2015, as the Air Traffic Control Tower rises in the background. Cherry Point is home to 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing and several of its squadrons. Its runways operate 24/7, 365 days each year, and the air station hosts squadrons that specialize in heavy helicopter lift and transport; air-to-ground attack support; electronic warfare; aerial transport and refueling; and sea and land search and rescue.
