Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point Images

Sep 16, 2014

Kimberly A. Alaniz fires a MK-19 automatic grenade launcher inside an Indoor Simulated Marksmanship Trainer during a Jane Wayne Day hosted by Marine Wing Headquarters Squadron 2 at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., Sept. 12, 2014. Alaniz, a former Sailor, is a stay at home mom, soccer coach and wife of Staff Sgt. Israel G. Alaniz, an aviation supply specialist with MWHS-2. Both are natives of Port Isabel, Texas. During the event, spouses and other extended MWHS-2 family members toured portions of the air station to learn more about the day-to-day lives of their Marines. The day included familiarization classes with Marine Corps weapon systems at the ISMT; aircraft simulators; and a demonstration of the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program.
