Sgt. Maj. of the Marine Corps Troy E. Black speaks with teachers assigned to the Child Development Center (CDC) during a visit to Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, Jan. 9, 2020. This tour included speaking with staff assigned to Marine Corps Community Services Cherry Point and Marine and Family Programs to discuss resources available to Marines, Sailors, civilians and their families with additional stops at the Devil Dog Gym, the Marine Warrior Library and the Child Development Center. Black also took time to visit the chow hall and speak with Marines about upcoming changes around the Corps before visiting base housing to discuss quality of life concerns and Atlantic Marine Corps Communities housing’s responsibilities to the installation’s patrons.
