Otis Marines welcome new commanding officer

Lt. Col. Claiborne Rogers accepted command of Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 252 from Lt. Col. Scott Koltick during an assumption of command ceremony here, Oct. 1, 2015.

Rogers served as the operations officer for Marine Aircraft Group 14 prior to assuming his current post as the commanding officer.

Rogers stated that VMGR-252 has been working hard, and he expects them to continue excelling.

During the ceremony, Rogers expressed that he was eager to command the squadron and see what the Marines can accomplish.

“I am glad to have the pleasure of taking over the squadron,” said Rogers.

The outgoing commanding officer, Koltick, expressed his gratitude to the Marines and that he was pleased the squadron would be under the direction of Rogers.

“I have been blessed within the past 16 months to come here every day and work with some of the finest Marines in the Marine Corps,” said Koltick. “I am honored to have worked with these Marines.”
