Meet the Marine

Being a Marine goes past the uniform, haircuts and swagger. It’s a whole Marine concept. They are a group of exceptional human beings who embody the Corps' ethos of honor, courage and commitment. Now, here is your chance to Meet a Marine.

Name: Sgt. Christopher T. Martin
Age: 21
Hometown: Sunnyside, Washington
Military Occupational Specialty: 4421, legal service specialist

U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Christopher T. Martin always hoped to join the nation’s armed services, but due to grades and opposition from one of his parents, didn’t believe he’d have the chance to.
“I always wanted to join the military,” said Martin. “I never thought I’d be able to join the Marine Corps.”
According to Martin, since enlisting, he has become a much more mature and professional individual, giving him the tools and experience to efficiently lead his Marines.
“The Marine Corps motivates me every day to be a better person,” said Martin. “If it weren’t for the Marine Corps I wouldn’t know where I would be today.”
Martin is currently a Marine Corps Martial Arts Program instructor and lance corporal seminar instructor. He is in the process of trying to become a drill instructor to further his plan of making the Marine Corps his career.
