Command Biographies
CLC-21 First Sergeant
First Sergeant Giancarlo Maragni

First Sergeant Giancarlo Maragni reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) Parris Island, South Carolina for recruit training on 31 May 2006. Upon completing training at MCRD, he reported to School of Infantry-East, Camp Lejeune, NC for Marine Combat Training. On September 28, he reported to Lackland Air Force Base for training as a 5831 Correctional Specialist.
 
In October of 2006, he reported to Camp Lejeune, NC for duty with Brig Company, Headquarters and Support Battalion, where he performed his duties as an Correctional Specialist.  In June 2008, he was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Corporal.       
     
In May of 2009, Corporal Maragni reported to Brig Section, Bravo Company, Headquarters Support Battalion, Camp Smedley D. Butler, Okinawa, Japan, for duties as Special Quarters Chief and Platoon Sergeant.  Additionally, in August 2010, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
     
In December of 2011, Sergeant Maragni reported to Brig Company, Headquarters and Support Battalion, Camp Lejeune where he began his duties as a Duty Brig Supervisor and Platoon Sergeant.
     
In June of 2013, Sergeant Maragni reported to Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron (H&HS), Iwakuni, Japan. While with H&HS, Sergeant Maragni was assigned as the base Marine Corps Instructor of Water Survival, Corporals Course Faculty Advisor, and Combat Marksmanship Trainer.    
     
In June of 2015, Sergeant Maragni reported to School of Infantry-East, where he performed his duties as a Combat Instructor, Combat Instructor Trainer, and Force Fitness Instructor. In November of 2015, he was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant.  Additionally in January of 2018 he was meritoriously promoted to Gunnery Sergeant.    
   
In September of 2018, Gunnery Sergeant Maragni reported to Brig Company, Headquarters and Support Battalion, Camp Lejeune where he performed his duties as Company Gunnery Sergeant, Training Chief, and Company First Sergeant.
     
In September of 2020, Gunnery Sergeant Maragni reported to 4th Law Enforcement Battalion, Headquarters Company, Detachment 2 where he served as the Operations Chief and Senior Enlisted Advisor.  In April 2022 he was promoted to the rank of First Sergeant.
     
In May of 2022, First Sergeant Maragni reported Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point to serve as the Company First Sergeant for Combat Logistics Company 21.   
     
First Sergeant Maragni's military schools include Correctional Specialist Course, Martial Arts Instructor Course, Marine Combat Instructor of Water Survival, Combat Marksmanship Coaches Course, Combat Marksmanship Trainer Course, Corporals Course, Sergeants Course, Marine Combat Instructor School, Basic Instructor Course, Senior Instructor Course, SNCOA Career Course, SNCOA Advanced Course, Force Fitness Instructor Course, Inter-service Non-Lethal Individual Weapons Instructor Course, and First Sergeant's Course.             
First Sergeant Maragni's personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with two Gold Stars, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with three Gold Stars.
